The Rodman Ride for Kids is the signature event for Rodman for Kids and will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021. This is the first year that The Boston House: Hope and Healing for Children with Cancer has been invited to participate in this fundraising event and we are delighted to be joining 41 other nonprofit organizations. The Ride for Kids has raised more than $143 million over the past 30 years and has impacted tens of thousands of children. We hope you will consider joining The Boston House team in this ride to support children with cancer and their families.
Established in 1979, The Boston House provides a no cost home away from home for children with cancer and their families while they seek treatment at Boston Children’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The House is a safe and comfortable home-like setting where children, families and caregivers find comfort and support among staff, volunteers, and other families facing the life-changing realities of childhood cancer and other life-threatening hematological illnesses.
This year, the Rodman Ride for Kids anticipates both an in-person ride in Foxboro and a virtual ride on a route of your choosing due to COVID-19 restrictions. For the in-person ride there will be a maximum of 500 riders. Riders can commit to a 25-mile bike ride or a 50-mile bike ride on either course. Each rider will receive a tee shirt to wear on their ride.
Our fundraising commitment will be $1,500 per participant for in-person riders, and $500 per participant for at-home/"Choose Your Own Adventure" riders. Please help us make this first year a big success! You can complete The Boston House rider registration application here.
Thank you from all of us at The Boston House! We hope you will consider riding this year. YOU can make a difference for our families.
