The Boston House Runs Falmouth!
The ASICS Falmouth Road Race is scheduled to be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021, and we’d love to have you join The Boston House team! This year, the race organizers anticipate a hybrid in-person/virtual event due to COVID-19. While we cannot guarantee that our runners will be running in-person in Falmouth on August 15th, all runners will have the opportunity to participate in the At-Home Edition of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race. The At-Home Edition in 2020 was a great success, and it allowed participants who normally wouldn’t have been able to get to Falmouth and/or run a 7-mile race to join our team, many for the first time. The At-Home Edition provides an expanded one-week timeframe, from August 8-14, during which participants can run or walk at their own pace, in the neighborhood of their choice, to complete the race distance. If the Town of Falmouth allows, we anticipate 30% of our fundraisers earning an in-person entry. Race organizers will have more information on the race format in the coming weeks and months.
Even with all the challenges 2020 brought, our Falmouth team exceeded our expectations, raising over $72,000 to help us serve the families who come to Boston to receive the best of care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children’s Hospital. With your help, we can exceed that total in 2021. All funds raised will be considered unrestricted funds, used to support The House and the families who stay here.
Our fundraising commitment will be $750 per participant - The Boston House will pay for your registration fee for the race, and we’ll provide jerseys for the team as well. You can complete The Boston House runner registration application here.
I hope you will join us – thank you on behalf of all of us at The Boston House!
